Are you interested in reading the first draft of my novel? I'm starting the revision process soon and would love to have input from readers regarding plot consistency, good or bad characterization, and the overall pace of the story. I'm not looking for grammar and spelling corrections at this time since I may end up cutting whole sections of the novel. What I am most concerned about is whether the story is engaging as a whole, and if some parts lag, I'd like to pinpoint where they are so I can revisit them.
If you think you might be able to help me out, either comment here or e-mail me at oracle_bacchus@yahoo.com and I will send you some sample chapters. If they interest you enough to want to read on, I will send the whole document via e-mail attachment.

I plan to use this journal to track my progress as an aspiring fiction writer. To date I've finished the first draft of my historical fantasy novel "The Oracle of Bacchus," which has come to a total of 153,000 words. In addition, I have a few short stories circling the fantasy fiction magazine markets. Join me if you find it amusing to watch the flailings of a newbie.
